Description
Bright colors adorn this vintage Phillips 66 Gas Station that has long since served it's last customer on Route 66.
This station is in the near ghost town of Red Oak II north of Carthage, Missouri. The town is the creation of Artist Lowell Davis who reconstructed this town with original abandoned building from the town of Red Oak, Missouri. The town appears to be frozen in time and a walk through the past.
The Phillips 66 shield logo was created for its link to Route 66 and was introduced in 1930 in a black and orange color scheme. The current revised version of the shield in red, white and black was introduced in 1959.
